CATERING GUIDELINES

ORDERING POLICY

Parkhurst Catering requires 72-hour notice for all catering orders. Orders placed within 72 hours will be reviewed by the catering team for accommodation based on product availability and the day’s catering schedule. We understand that last minute orders occur and, as always, will do our absolute best to accommodate your catering and event needs.

  • Catering office hours are 7 a.m. – 3 p.m., Monday – Friday.
  • Deliveries and/or setup can begin as early as 7 a.m.
  • Orders are not confirmed unless the catering team has contacted you or verification is received via CaterTrax.
  • Written approval from your Cost Center Manager is required for orders over $1,000.00. Please email proposal number approval to PNCCatering@parkhurstdining.com.

LIQUOR POLICY

  • Any alcohol on PNC property must be provided and served by Parkhurst Catering. No outside alcohol is permitted.
  • Persons under 21 may not consume, possess, or be served alcoholic beverages.
  • No alcoholic beverages will be furnished to a person who appears intoxicated.
  • Self Service bars are not permitted.
  • Catering and non-alcoholic beverages must be present at any event serving alcohol.
  • Bar services will end 30 minutes prior to the end of your scheduled event. Non-alcoholic beverages will be available until the end of the event.
  • Alcoholic beverage service may not exceed 3 hours per event.
  • A RAMP certified bartender must provide service for any required bar services.

SERVICE CHARGE

A 25% service charge will be added to all catering orders serviced by Parkhurst. This includes delivery, set-up, maintenance, and teardown of your order.

Ordering from PNC Catering is both easy and secure. Your credit card information is protected by our secured server.

ORDER CHANGES AND CANCELLATIONS

Parkhurst Catering requires 72 business hours advance notification of cancellation. If costs are incurred due to late cancellation, the client will be billed accordingly.

  • Call 412.467.4406 directly to cancel last-minute orders. Voicemail or messages are not valid cancellations.
  • Email cancellations are not accepted.
  • Late order changes (less than 24hrs) can be made online. Confirmation from an event coordinator is required.

PAYMENT TERMS

Parkhurst Catering accepts credit cards and cost centers. Terms are net 30 days.

SALES TAX

All events are subject to 7% sales tax. Tax Exempt organizations must provide a tax letter with the first order.

Service charge is removed for Self-Service Pickup orders. Pickup is in your respective café and includes setup and cleanup by the client.

PRICES

Prices may change due to market fluctuation and product availability. Substitutions may affect final invoice.

STAFF CHARGES

Additional staff is required for cocktail receptions and events with 50+ guests. Rates:

  • Professional staff/bartender: $195.00 for 4 hours minimum.
  • Overtime will be billed if the event exceeds scheduled time.

FOODBORNE ILLNESS

Consuming raw or undercooked meats, poultry, seafood, shellfish, eggs or unpasteurized milk may increase your risk of foodborne illness.

FOOD LEFTOVER POLICY

Leftovers will be discarded unless safe items (e.g., cookies) are requested to be packed in advance. Clients assume liability for consuming leftovers.
